The Hutto Tech & Trade Center represents another step in Hutto’s evolution as a location for industrial and trade-oriented businesses. SpaceX’s Bastrop operations continue to expand. The company previously announced a $280 million semiconductor R&D and advanced-packaging expansion expected to create more than 400 jobs, and more recent plans call for substantially greater investment in Starlink production.
A proposed 2,842-acre data center and power campus in Cedar Creek could represent approximately $2.2 billion in investment and begin operations as early as 2028. The proposal is another indication of the scale of digital-infrastructure investment moving into the eastern Central Texas corridor.
